  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:

    * I love Golf!

    * Love practicing: 4 - 5 days per week;

    * Love pressure in tournaments;

    * Long term development of my game; earning respect of players and coaches.

  4. I will be a good college teammate because:

    * I look forward to playing on a college team. I live for this!

    * I'm excellent under pressure and love team golf. Have won numerous scramble events.

    * Have been on the 5-time (Consecutive) State Championship team (Desert Hills) as a freshman and sophomore.

    * Been top 10 in Utah the last two years. (9th and 10th grade)

  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:

    * Want a university that is academically respected as it is athletically respected

    * Want to play on a team that will push me to continue to improve and fight for team titles.

    * Want to play on diverse courses and has a good year-round program.

  6. My college goals are:

    * Continue my academic career as well as play on a respected college team.

    * I have high expectations in both academic pursuits as well as a potential life in the golfing industry;

    *  I hope to pursue post collegiate golf opportunities including LPGA Tour Competition, professional golf instructional experiences.

  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

    * Recognizes hard work and swing mechanics that are well defined.

    * A coach who can push me hard yet has a personality that allows our team to flourish together as well as each member, individually.

    *  I want to make lifetime memories and lifelong friendships that will be there long after graduation.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are:

    * Driving distance and accuracy;

    * Putting.

    * Short game is exceptional. I seldom 3 putt.

  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

    * Mid irons, I'm a little inconsistent with. I would like to nail my 5-6 irons as well as I hit my other clubs.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:

    I was trained as a tennis player and Golfer starting at 8. I took up golf again at 12 and found I loved the sport tremendously. I have passed every single player that started years before me; I believe my game is improving far faster because I didn't burn out early on as many of my peers did. I also believe I will shoot some very low rounds in the mid 60's in the coming seasons. I've been very close and feel that with my game, it is a matter of time before my scoring average is down in the high 60's.

Personal Statement

I have a very balanced attitude and work ethic. Over the past three-plus years, I've practiced on aveage 4-5 days a week. I played in over 25 tournament rounds this past summer and expect to play more prolific tournaments in the following two summers before I start college. I'm blessed to have a dad who has been one of the most successful tennis coaches in the U.S. He taught me how to compete, how to face challenges, and, perhaps most important, how to face adversity without letting it get me down. I've had a few tournement rounds where I fought back from a bad start or a bad hole, and made a solid round out of it. I also have a great swing coach who has taken the foundation my father gave me and turned me into a truly competititve golfer. Coupled with my straight-A academic career, I feel I bring a lot to any college team. My playing stats, my swing mechanics, and my all-around game gives me the ability to play any course against any opponent and be consistently competitive.
