  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I am goal-oriented, hard-working ,organized and serious about academics and athletics as evidenced by the fact that I have earned 8 Varsity letters while pursuing a rigorous college preparatory curriculum maintaining a 3.88 GPA.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I interact well with different kinds of people. I have "risen through the ranks" since freshman year to be the Team Captain junior year and  senior year. I am very much a team-player who understands that mutual respect is an important ingredient of any successful team.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Is a strong academic school matched with a competitive golf program. I am looking for the best combination of strong academic program where I can continue to play golf on a varsity level while pursing my degree.
  6. My college goals are: To pursue a degree that will prepare me for career after graduation and maintain my personal goal of high academic achievement.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

Is interested in seeing all of his players become the best golfers they can be, while encouraging a strong balance between academic and athletic success.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are: I am very determined and I never give up on a hole or a round. You can count on me to get everything I can out of my golf game that day.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: Inconsistency. I sometimes hit a few bad shots causing my lowest rounds to not be as good as I know they can be.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I am a hard worker and nothing motivates me more than the opportunity to improve my golf game.
I continue to work with an excellent coach and approach each tournament as an opportunity not only to succeed, but to learn, grow and improve. Also, I approach practicing as seriously as I do tournament play.
Personal Statement
This summer I decided to focus all my athletic attention on golf, setting aside other varsity sports.

I have been excited about the decision because in only a short period of time I have made significant improvements in my understanding of the golf swing and course management.

I am equally focused now on earning a solid academic education and to represent that institution successfully on its golf team.
