All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: In my two years of high school golf I have qualified for All-Conference as well as the NC Mid-East Regional Tournament. In my 2009 season as a sophomore, I averaged 42 strokes per match, as we played nine-hole matches in the regular season. With an 84 at the Regional Tounament, I failed to qualify for the State Championship by three strokes. I earned medalist honors at one match during my sophomore year, when I shot a one-over par 37 to win by two strokes. I am a member of the National Junior Golf Club. I also qualified for the NJGC National Championship at Sea Trails Resort in Sunset Beach, NC in 2008 and 2009. In June 2009, I participated in the Under Armour College Golf East Combine at Ocean City Golf Club in Berlin, Maryland. In the skills challenges, I placed 13th out of 73 competitors in the East Combine, and 35th out of 262 competitors in all 6 regions combined. On tournament day I shot an 86 (+14) to finish 16th out of 22 competitors in the 2011-2015 division.
  2. Other Achievements: I am a member of the National Beta Club through my high school. As a freshman I held a GPA of 3.8 My GPA as a sophomore was a 4.05. For three consecutive years I have qualified for the M. Austin Carter Academic Ceremony which is hosted by the Duplin County Education Foundation.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I love to push myself to reach new goals and higher heights. I am never completely satisfied with my golf game and I am constantly working towards improving my game. The same applies for my academics as well. I always strive to better my grades and I am also extremely competitive. Even if I have no one to compete against, I will set a goal for myself to work toward so that I can challenge myself and compete against myself.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I love to see teammates acheive great things and play well. I have this attitude toward other teammates because I know I would also want them to be happy for me when I play well. I am a very friendly person and can get along with all types of people.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: I can help them as much as they can help me. I would love to know that I am an important factor for the success of that program. I want to be a part of a very competitve program who has the potential and the expectations of winning championships. I also would love to be a part of a program that has a great fitness program, because I love to improve my strength and flexibilty. I would like to find a university which has a good marine biology program or a good proffesional golf management program as well.
  6. My college goals are: To maintain an "A" average throughout college and to become a confident golfer who will be ready to persue a career as a professional golfer on the Tour. I would like to build life-long friendships with teammates and new friends, and I would also love to win a championship with my team, whether it be a conference championship or a national championship.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Will believe in me as much as I do. I believe that my tournament scores don't always reflect my potential and I would love to have a coach who believes I can make a career out of playing professional golf. I am interested in a coach who is willing to work with me on improving my game as much as I am.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: Being able to stay calm when I am not playing well. I know I can make birdies jsut as easily as I can make bogies, so I'm usually good at staying patient in my round. My short game is normally what keeps my round going. I take pride in my chipping and putting and usually have the most confidence in those areas.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

I have only been playing competitive golf for a year now, so I feel I lack a little bit of experience in tournament play. However, I am expecting great improvement as I play in more tournaments throughout the upcoming golf season. Also, my driving can be a bit streaky. One day I may hit 85 percent of the fairways and the next day I may hit only 30 percent. Im not a very long hitter for my age, but I'm not very short either. I average around 255-260 yards on a solid, smooth drive.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I play golf every day, usually several hours per day. If I have obligations and can't play during the day, I have a net to hit balls into in my backyard, so that I can still hit balls even if the sun isn't out. I am also willing to take any advice that sounds knowledgeable and that I believe will help improve my game.
